open photoshop and open the preferences menu (ctrl+k), this will pop up :

click on Guides, Grid & Slices, and do these settings:

when you do it wil explain everything.

 

note: only gridline every 100 % is needed and subdivisions 3

 

use ctrl+' to show the grids

Pretty nice technique. Although I'm so lazy, I just eyeball it, or use the 3x3 grid in the custom shapes tool/

i did that too but this is permanent ctrl+' you have it, again to hide them.

I eyeball it 99% of the time, or I'll just hit C to bring up the crop tool (which also brings up a 3x3 grid) and then use that XD
