Hey Guys,

i thought about a few Profile Information that i missed.
The mostly questions of newbies in my opinion are:
"What Program you are using?" or "Did you use a Tablet? Which Tablet do you use?" or something like this.

(Not only on this board, but mostly on the boards i visited)

So why we don´t add a few Profile Information Fields to answer these questions?

My Idea is simple and should be realistic to implement.
It should be look like this:

The Post View:

Spoiler

The Profile View:

Spoiler

It don´t need to be the exact position, it should only show you my idea of how it could looks like.

So what do you think about this? Is this helpful or not?

Greetings

LunariZ

I like the idea, but in my opinion it should stay on your profile page, not on every post you make, and the reason for that is because if you add too much stuff every post will look very busy. That way if someone has the curiosity they can just open your profile and see what they want.

Yeah, maybe you´re right^^

it would maybe produce a few display problems, if they type in too much chars.

I don´t thought about this problem :/

But on the Profile Page it shouldn´t matter if you type in a long text :)

It'd be a cool idea, but I'm not sure if it'd require custom code or not. Moo can elaborate... If it requires custom fields, it may be a pain in the ass...

Again, I don't know what the IPB Admin Panel looks like, so I can't say how hard it'd be, but cool idea :O

They're fairly easy to add as the system has a tool for it built in.

Just... Device and Program seem like very vague things to put.

^Use dropdown menu's for program, and just include the major ones. Plus their optional so if you don't use a device, then you don't have to put one down...

^that would be my idea too.

^There are different Versions of Photoshop, and maybe other working with Illustrator or smth else.

The Program shouldn´t be categorized only on one Program. Maybe they could select from different programs and can choose one or more.

For example with selectboxes, if you know what i mean. Or as Fireclaw say, with a dropdown menu.

There are many ways to display this. The very important question is, what would be the best, or even a good way?

I don´t know how the IPB works, so i don´t know what is possible and what isn´t.

Maybe we could find a solution together ;)
