One thing that we tend to focus on here is user generated content... All of our sites tend to revolve around that. Allowing people to create art and share.

Monetization of such systems... is not exactly easy or profitable. One Canvas and Baka Renders don't make enough money each month to pay what we spend to run this place...

A concept I've had a monetizing is offer webhosting services. Generally speaking... this would be a content management system most likely wordpress with pre existing options for hosting and maintaining a place to store works... or just generic hosting. Ideally... Prices would be somewhere under $7 a month in a shared hosting environment with everything maintained for you.

Goal is to over simplify it but still give people a place to show their work under their own domain name. Do let me know if you have even the slightest interest in this... And other details like what would need to be included for you to be interested, or what you would like as options. This more of a concept at the moment than any solid product.

To clarify... this would be external from OC.

Hmmm I think I understand what you mean.

Do you mean that you will lauch a service (something like enjin?) Of wich you can buy domain names with a set layout on wich you can post your pictures?

I do support this idea ;)

Sounds cool. Personally, I wouldn't be using it, as I've already got a domain, and am working on designing my own site. But I know plenty of graphic designer friends who probably would.

I already have one that I'm paying for, but i think it's a wonderful idea.

I've seen a few great portfolio sites that you can get your own domain from, and honestly if you guys can some up with a few cool and user-friendly tools it could become pretty popular.

:D
